Steve and Connie Hicks, friends from PA were sight seeing the beautiful fall foliage. They stopped in and we went to a restaurant with a '50's decor. We really enjoyed the visit.
Valerie decided to dress for the occasion.
Here she is in her poodle skirt with '50's decor.
Connie and Valerie posing by the '50's decorations.
Dorcas, We get to see the Hicks a time or two a year and we send cards/letters/phone calls every so often. The older I get, the more important it is to keep in touch with friends. :) Lolly
I remember them... When I was about l4, I attended Mt. of Blessings Camp, and at night after church service, the young people would gather round and sing while Steve played his quitar...(he was probably l6 or so at the time)... I haven't seen him since, so what a nice surprise...
Jeanne, Steve still plays guitar but also banjo and some mandolin. Connie plays the piano and there are others in the church who sometimes have guitar/banjo specials. Lolly
Jim works for WalMart and sometimes Securitas Security. He fills in preaching when asked. Lolly works part time at Tracy's Hallmark store. Our oldest son, James, resides in Grove City, Pa. He graduated from Grove City College. Jason, the next in line, is married to Sheri and they have our two wonderful granddaughters, Victoria and Vanessa. They live here in NY, a little over an hour away. Jonathan attends Penn View Bible Institute in PA. That is where Jim and Lolly met. Valerie works in the library and she and Jeff both live at home here.
